PocketOgg's a compact bundle of
free code which miraculously runs on my MIPS MobilePro 780 and other
scrappy old Win CE devices. It screamed out its desire for new features, so I obliged.
Additions:
Playlist opening, saving, sorting, shuffling
Lightweight oggs, such as mono oggs and <44100khz oggs play
correctly - save a lot of space.
Bitrates unsupported by hardware are resampled to play without
distortion
Keyboard input is accepted.
P = play, S = stop, space = pause, arrows = track change.
For jog dials which send pgup/pgdn: quick press = track change, held down =
volume change.
Beautification with Mozart WinAmp skin.
Associate it with .ogg & .pls, because now it will open files passed
as arguments.
Interesting things left to do:
Figure out how to allow selecting multiple files in the broken old CE open
file dialog or through some other interface. Currently I generate massive
playlists in CMD.exe with dir /b > list.pls
Add support for network streams and midstream rate changes
